David J. Peter's Obituary
David Johnson Peter, 80, passed away on March 26, 2012 in San Diego, California after a long fight with cancer. David was born in Phoenix, Arizona on May 29, 1931, the son of David and Evelyn Peter.He attended the University of Arizona and served in the United States Air Force. David was widowed in 1995, remarried and was divorced in 2011. He is survived by daughter Krista Gregory of Scottsdale, Arizona, and 3 grandchildren Robert and Brian Gregory and Kyle Alix of Scottsdale, Arizona.Dave founded and was CEO and head of sales of a very successful traffic safety engineering and equipment supply company for over 30 years.Dave had many friends and was loved by all. His recreation was running marathons, trekking in the Grand Canyon, sports cars, photography, intense interest in learning about everything and the ability to fix just about anything.A gathering of friends and family for a final salute to this remarkable man was held at the Vi at La Jolla Village on March 27, 2012.
