Delton Edmond Tam's Obituary
Delton E. Tam was born on Nov 5, 1957 and passed away on Dec 2, 2017. He was the youngest of five children born to Hay and Jeannie Tam. Known as “Del” to friends, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp at the age of 17 with a Parent’s consent. He served proudly in Desert Storm and was Honorably Discharged in 1991. He worked for the City of San Diego as Traffic Controller. Then employed by Cal Trans as a Driver for Highway Maintenance. Del passed away after suffering from PTSD and liver cancer.Del is survived by his daughter, Felicia Vinoya and son-in-law Nimo Vinoya, parents, Hay Tam (deceased) and Jeannie Tam (deceased), siblings, Nancy Campdoras and brother-in-law Reader Campdoras, Milton Tam(deceased), Benton Tam and sister-in-law Ana Tam, and Jessie Springer and brother-in-law Gary Springer. He was Uncle to Eric Campdoras and niece through marriage, Tina Campdoras, Clarisse Campdoras, Brenton Springer, Gabriela Reyes, Sophia Tam, Trenton Tam, Emma Tam, and Quinton Tam. Great Uncle to Elliott Campdoras and Annie Campdoras. GodFather to Angel Brock, parents Chris Archuleta and Maggie Barrios and Kassandra Mazon, parents Beto and Lorena Mazon.Service will be at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Drive, San Diego, CA. 92122 on Dec. 19 (Tuesday), from 9:30-10:00am.Del will be remembered as a funny guy, often joking and teasing. So dress in bright colors and be comfortable, ready to party!The “Celebration of Life” will be at Hansen Park Clubhouse, 2730 Cliffside Ave, Spring Valley, 91977 (Rancho San Diego) Please join us for a fiesta!The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Delton E.
