LAMB, DIANNE ELIZABETH's Obituary
Dianne Elizabeth Lamb (Clarity), age 85, passed away peacefully in her home August 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born August 29, 1938 in Detroit Lakes, MN, to Otto and Mary Margaret Clarity. She grew up in International Falls, MN where she graduated from International Falls High School in 1956.
Dianne was a lover of music and performance arts. She mastered the violin at a young age, playing into adulthood. She was fond of the theatre and performed in many high school musical productions. She was always humming to a tune that was endlessly playing her in head.
After moving and living in San Diego, she met Herbert “Chuck” Lamb, the love of her life, whom she married in 1968. She retired after 35 years at Mesa College as an Administrative Secretary to the Dean.
She was a devout Catholic and deacon at St. Catherine Laboure, where she attended mass daily. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and calm demeanor, who always saw the best in everyone.
She loved spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed the attention she received while riding around with her husband in their beautiful Model A.
Dianne is survived by her husband, Chuck Lamb, her daughters, Wendy Steindler (Peter), Janice Walker, Leslie Claude (Michael), Shirley Walkin (Mike), Terri Beadles (George), and son Victor Lamb (Samantha). She has 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Gary Lamb, sisters Jeannine Nelson (Clarity), Shelly Christensen (Clarity), and brother Jack Clarity.
Among her immediate family, she was famous for making our favorite meal of wontons and fried rice. She was the Scrabble Queen who showed no mercy on her opponent, as she rarely lost a game. She loved laughing at a good joke, regardless of how silly.
She was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She will be dreadfully missed by all. Heaven has gained an angel.
