Dionisio G. Lomeli's Obituary
When Nicho was born his father Moses was a prison guard in Ensenada, Mexico, therefore he was born in jail. That became the family joke, “dad was born in jail”. Nicho was a rambunctious boy and he preferred to work over going to school.
In time Nicho met Teresa in Tijuana, Mexico. They stayed in touch when Nicho went to work picking cherries in Washington State. After some months he returned to Tijuana to be close to his Teresita who became his wife of 56 years. Nicho started his family in San Diego, California, and became an exemplary husband and father. He became father to five lovely daughters. Nicho was loved by all those who surrounded him.
Due to his desire of being a good husband and father, he began to study the Bible. Because of his love for Jehovah, on June 19, 2004, he was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He faithfully continued to serve Jehovah his entire life. He became a full-time pioneer, and in 2011 and 2016 he had the privilege of attending the pioneer service school. Because of his friendly personality, he always took advantage to share his faith with others and enjoyed speaking about Jehovah. In time, he became a ministerial servant.
Nicho was always an example in showing hospitality and cherished his association with his spiritual family. He was loved by all the children in the congregation and was known to them as “Grandpa”.
His favorite hobby was traveling with his Teresita. They traveled to many places around the world. He enjoyed camping and every year he would vacation with his family.
Nicho died with the firm hope of being united with his loved ones in the resurrection and live forever in a paradise on earth.
