Dolores Aguila de Blas' Obituary
Dolores Aguila de Blas aka “Lolita” was born on December 14th, 1927 in Panama, Republic of Panama. Her parents Juan Aguila and Maria Del Socorro Aguila, were both from Panama as well. Lolita is 1 of 7 siblings, Claudia Aguila-Morrison, Ananias Aguila, Dolores Aguila de Blas, Ismael Aguila, Isabel Aguila, Frank Aguila and Cita Aguila-Burns.She spent many years working for a grocery chain in Panama, taking care of their accounting books and deposits. Moved to San Diego, CA July 1981 seeking a better life for herself and her family. A hard working and devoted woman, Lolita never stopped working for her family. She worked at a nursing home “Hillcrest Manor” for 12 years and retired in 1993 at the age of 66. She retired to look after her grandchildren and to enjoy watching them grow.Lolita was a simple person who enjoyed the simple things in life; playing cards, gardening, traveling, playing bingo and going to casinos :), but most of all, she enjoyed her family.Lolita was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She is survived by her children Angelica E. Blas-Figueroa and Angel I. Blas Jr. and spouses Jorge Figueroa and Maricela Romo-Blas (she considered them her children as well). Her four grandchildren Yanina Angelica Figueroa, Larissa Blas, Cristian Esteban Figueroa and Jessica Blas. Her brothers Ismael Aguila, Frank Aguila and sister Cita Aguila-Burns.She was such a loving person and cared for so many others. Anyone who met our mother loved her smile and her sincerity. She was very loyal and honest; a truly wonderful person and a wonderful soul.Our dear Lolita passed away in Poway, California on December 18th, 2017, just 4 days after celebrating her 90th birthday.Her entire family and friends will dearly miss her.
