Dolores Gomez's Obituary
Dolores “Lola” Gomez passed away peacefully on December 06, 2020 to be reunited with her husband Francisco, her parents Pedro and Crispina, and granddaughter Jovanha. She was survived by her siblings, Josie, Max, Mary, and Agnes, her children, Theresa, Frances, Angie, Hector, George, Alice, and Frank, as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the matriarch of the Gomez family and was a loving and caring wife, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Dolores was a strong and independent Hispanic woman that shared her thoughts without hesitation and enjoyed the company of her family and friends. Saturdays were always known as family gatherings at her San Diego home with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved to cook her infamous homemade flour tortillas, and papas and eggs, which her family will all greatly miss. She created so many fond memories with her family and always made sure that no one in her home was left with hunger.
She was known as the person in the family to help anyone in need without hesitation and always made others feel like family. Dolores loved to sing, listen to cumbias, and dance whenever she desired to do so and it was captivating and contagious to others. She loved her family whole-heartedly and lived her life the way she wanted, by living it to the fullest. Dolores spent her final days surrounded by the love of her family and will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all who knew her.
A funeral service is scheduled for December 29, 2020 at Greenwood Memorial Park. Attendance virtually is optional and will be offered. Flowers, donations, and condolences may be offered to the Gomez Family at 4300 Imperial Avenue, San Diego, CA. 92113.
