Dolores Gina James' Obituary
Dolores (Lorie) G. Alessio Myers-James born on May 22, 1932, in San Diego, California to parents Frank D. & Gemma M. Alessio entered into rest on June 21, 2022, at her home in La Jolla. A resident of San Diego for over 90 years, Lorie was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She married her love and together raised a family of one daughter and two sons; Paula, Chris & Bryan, where they made their home in Mission Hills. Lorie attended Point Loma High School, San Diego State College and was Queen of the May Ball in 1953 for the Sons and Daughters of Italy in America. Her Father was owner - president of Pepsi Cola bottling Company of San Diego and prominent civic leader. Lorie was actively involved in the Mercy Hospital Foundation, a member of La Jolla Country Club, San Diego Yacht Club and was fortunate to participate in the 1992 America’s Cup Defenders Series. She was also actively involved in the San Dieguito Boys and Girls Club, where her generosity helped build a gymnasium in honor of her late husband, Larry James
Lorie is survived by her children; Paula Myers, Chris (Linda) Myers, Bryan (Jackie) Myers, and two grandchildren, Markie Myers and Nikole Myers, brothers; Frank Alessio & Michael Alessio. Lorie is preceded in death by Husband’s, Paul H. Myers, Lawrence James, and Dear Friend Dr. Paul Nora. Mom you will be missed yet never forgotten. May you rest in eternal peace. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
