Donna Leventhal's Obituary
Donna Leventhal, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away from natural causes on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the age of 80.
Born in Chicago, Donna moved to San Diego as a teenager and made it her home for the next 65 years. She shared a beautiful life with her husband, Lance, and together they were days short of celebrating their 54th wedding anniversary. A devoted wife and homemaker, Donna dedicated herself to her family. Her greatest joy was caring for those she loved through acts of kindness and ensuring everyone was always well-fed.
She is survived by her husband, Lance; her daughters, Elizabeth and Stacy; her son-in-law, Aaron; and her cherished granddaughters, Liv and Sky, who brought immense light and pride into her life.
Donna was a woman of steadfast passions. A lifelong Chicago White Sox fan, she followed her team with unshakable loyalty through every season. She was equally devoted to Democratic politics, never hesitating to lend her voice and energy to causes she believed in.
Her legacy lives on not only in her family but also in the communities and organizations she supported. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to one of Donna’s cherished causes: Friends of San Pasqual Academy or San Diego Junior Theatre.
Donna will be remembered for her warmth, her devotion, her humor, and her unwavering spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
