Dear family of Doris: I was a classmate of your mother's in Nursing Training in Philadelphia. She frequently invited us student nurses to her home in the suburbs for a much-needed delicious meal cooked by her mother. We could always depend on a lot of hugs from Mother and Dad Baker. Doris and I have kept in touch over the years and visited each other several times. I feel as though I know you girls and remember the visit two of you made with a singing group when we lived near Lancaster. My husband, Bill and your dad always got along famously and we remember well a trip we took together to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. I am so sorry to just learn of your mom's passing and know it leaves a void in your lives. She leaves many fond memories. I will let the other living classmates know the sad news. Mary Stoner Gassman
