Our Dear mother Dorothy Lee Fortner gained her wings on Tues, May 10th, 2022, at the beautiful age of 80. She was born on Dec 28th, 1941, to Joseph and Francis Farpella in Calexico, Ca. She was the 11th of 13 children with 2 surviving siblings, Robert Farpella (Uncle Bobby), and Melanie Hughes. She was married on January 19, 1957 to James Fortner having 3 daughters Janet Rosenow, Barbara Fortner and Sandra O’Connor. She is also leaving behind 3 grand children Kristie Wright, Robert Geiler, Chad O’Conner and 4 great grandchildren Katelynn & Richie Hobbs, Robert & Jaxon Geiler, as well as the love of her life and so many enduring friends. She was a Women who loved her friends like family and family meant everything to her. She was one busy lady who loved to garden, party, travel, camp and have fun. She was not only the Matriarch of our family she was that and so much more for many of you.
She was the Pilar of our lives and will be forever missed.
