Long time Chula Vista resident and devoted family man, Douglas Gordon Crockett, passed away
February 8, 2023 at home surrounded by loved ones. Doug was born in Logan, Utah on September 20, 1938. He was married to his wife, Della, until she passed in 2011, and is survived by their children Dana, Doug Jr., Dwayne, and Diane, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. His life's work and greatest love was his family. They are profoundly thankful that he was in their lives and remember him as a hard working man who served in the United States Army, became a building contractor, and for decades, drove his eighteen-wheeler delivering lumber throughout Southern California. They speak of "Pop's" loving, caring heart and gentle spirit, his wise counsel and enduring support, his playful nature and cute sense of humor, and as a humble, good man who lived his life in an extraordinary way.
