Her husband, Payne and her son, Dennis passed away in 1995, just two months apart as well as one of her great-grandchild passed before Edith. They moved from Utah to San Diego in 1948 after all children were born and built a home. Payne and Edith grew a very large vegetable and fruit garden for many years and canned and froze most of it. Edith was a wonderful cook. Payne also planted a large rose garden of many colors for Edith. Their property was always absolutely beautiful. She also was a very wonderful seamstress. Edith made most of her children’s clothes and some of her grandchildren’s clothes as well. Most of all, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
