Edna Vizena Staehnke's Obituary
Celebrating the life of Edna Vizena Staehnke born on October 28, 1926 in Oberlin, Louisiana, where she lived until 1952. She was the 6th child of 6 children. Her parents were Alfred N. Vizena and Ophelia Aucoin. She went to school at Oberlin School (grades 1 – 12), Midway Adult High School in Sandiego and also attended Mesa College. After school she began working as a bookkeeper, later in life she also worked in a restaurant and as a bus driver. She retired in 1998 after serving for 58 years. After retirement, her and her husband were involved in camping, bird watching, and enjoying what San Diego has to offer. She lived in Lake Charles, Louisiana for 4 years and in San diego for 64 years. She was married to Raymond Staehnke on August 16, 1952 at Orange, Texas. She was a member of St. Catherine Laboure. She was an avid bird watcher and loved to camp in the mountains. She passed away on October 12, 2016. She is survived by her three children Fayne Staehnke, Deanna Staehnke and Ray Staehnke.
