It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eduardo Lopez Abitan, a beloved father, husband, brother, and friend. He departed this world on April 30, 2025 leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering strength.
Born on October 18,1944 in Balayan, Batangas Philippines, Eduardo Lopez Abitan was a person of great character and warmth, known for his sense of humor and beautiful soul. Whether he was a Chief in the U.S. Navy, a ballroom dancer, and a comedian, he approached life with a spirit of love and true happiness.
Eduardo Lopez Abitan survived by his loving family, including Yolanda Perez Abitan (spouse), and his 2 children Anafrancia Abitan Tordilla (daughter), married to Omar Tordilla with 2 children named Audrey & Alexis Tordilla, and Erickson Perez Abitan (son), married to Algelin Abitan with a son named Alaric Abitan.
Eduardo has 6 siblings named Emmanuel Abitan (Navy-deceased), Fernando Abitan (Navy-deceased), Bienvenida Abitan Palacio, Eriberto Abitan, Rolando Abitan, and Mercedes Abitan ( deceased)
Eduardo will forever be cherished by his guidance, laughter, and the precious moments shared together. He was a pillar of strength and an example of resilience, aka (amulet or talisman) to all who knew him.
A service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at The Immaculata Church -University of San Diego on June 6, 2025 at 9:00am and laid to rest at Miramar National Cemetery at 11:15am.
While our hearts mourn for his loss, we find solace in the memories and love he left behind. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
