Edward Michael Castro's Obituary
Edward Michael Castro 63, has passed away on July 31, 2024 from his long battle with cancer. He was born on November 2, 1960 in Bermerton,WA. His mother and father are Leonardo Castro (passed) and Julita Quichocho. Edward also known to his family and friends as "Eddie" has lived in San Diego,CA for most of his life. Edward loved the beach and outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren whenever he got the chance. He was a mechanic that worked hard, but his love was his family.
Edward is survived by his children and their spouses, grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews His children are Misha Morris-Choma and David (Jadin&Ryland), Edward Castro Jr. and Lila, Angelina (Victoria), Chelsea (Layna,Mila), His siblings Leona Poe (David) ((Jasun))&(Daniel), Abraham Castro, Marylou and Dexter Sapinosa (Michelle & Kevin Oppelt) ((Emerson)), Henry Castro (Justin), Leonardo Castro II & Angelina (Genelle&Leonardo III), Leonard Castro (passed), Jeremy Castro (Kelly&Havani), Rachel Castro (Nai'Le & Ronin).
We would like to thank all of the nurses at Grossmont hospital for all of the care that they provided Edward and his family while at the hospital The nurses went above and beyond to make Misha, his eldest daughter, feel comfortable while she sat with Edward by his bedside while he passed. We would also like to thank all of the family members that came together to help with Edwards funeral arrangements. Edward was a beautiful soul and it showed when people rallied around to help send him off properly.
Services will be held on August 13, 2024 at 12-1pm for memorial service followed by a gathering from 1-4pm at Greenwood Memorial Park and Mortuary in San Diego. We have started a GoFundMe account in Edwards name on Facebook. We also need food brought for the gathering, so anyone willing to cook a dish it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you to all who loved and cared for Edward. Let's send him off properly the way that the Chomorros and Filipinos and Filipinas know how We love you all. See you then.
