Edward Lee Jones' Obituary
Edward Jones passed away Saturday April 30, 2016. Born in Switzer, Kentucky, Edward moved with his family to Johnstown, Pennsylvania as a young child. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corp., enlisting as a senior in high school where he served in Germany. He married his high school sweetheart, Sara Louise Hart, in 1945 and had 4 children. Edward worked for Moxham National Bank before moving his family to San Diego, Calif. where he was hired by Security Pacific National Bank serving as a Branch Vice President for over 35 years before retiring. After retiring, he joined Budget Car Sales as their buyer and worked there until he was 83 years old. This is the job he enjoyed most. Edward was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Sara, his son, Barry Lee, a brother, Eric of Pennsylvania, and 3 sisters, Elizabeth Hutlock of Ohio, Dorothy Beabes of Pennsylvania and Lucy Boxler of Ohio. Survivors include his Daughter, Sandra Hammond (Bob) of Yuma, AZ, Kevin (Barry Highsted), Jay (Joe Martinez), four Grand Children; Keri Shenk, Kyle Hammond (both of San Diego), Matthew Jones, (Austin, Texas) Jaime Carpenter (San Diego) and 13 Great-Grandchildren.
