Edward Charles Wilson Nov 11,1941 - Jun 28, 2024 Edward “Ed” Charles Wilson was born in San Diego, California on November 11, 1941 and grew up in Pacific Beach. He was a hard worker from an early age, starting with his first job sweeping up the Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach. At the age of 26 he launched his 39 year career (1967-2006) at the San Diego Union-Tribune. Ed met his wife Linda in 1968 at a mutual friend’s party. Ed and Linda were married in San Diego on November 23, 1969. Together they raised their children, later enjoyed grandchildren and great grandchildren. Their love was unwavering even in the toughest times for 54 years. Ed loved his role as husband, father, grandpa, and friend. He worked hard to provide a safe and loving home for his wife and children. He will be missed. Services will be held at San Rafael Parish 17252 Bernardo Center Drive San Diego, California at 11:00 August 1, 2024 with a reception afterwards in the church hall.
