Hi Elbert. People come and go in our lives. Some of them you forget, some you are glad to have them out of your lives, and others you remember fondly. Sometimes people live their lives thinking they did nothing worthy. I wanted to let you know how much our teenage friendship meant to me and how much of an impact you made in my life. We had some good conversations when we were teens. One in particular that I remember was when you told me to look in the mirror and really see myself. You told me I was pretty and smart. This gave me the confidence and self esteem I needed at the time. You gave me the strength to live on. You gave me the ability to love myself. For that I am very grateful. I have shared that story with my girls as they grew into teenagers. Thank you for your friendship!!! I'm glad to see you were surrounded by so many loving friends and family during your last few days. You will be missed. May God be with your family during this difficult time and may your loving soul rest in peace.
