Eleanor Bolivar Maguire's Obituary
Eleanor Bolivar Maguire passed away on December 25, 2023; she was 101 years old. She was born in Fresno, California and her mother’s name was Maria.
She met and married John Maguire, while he was enlisted in the Navy and their marriage lasted for more than 60 years.
Eleanor or “TIA” as she was named by all those who loved her, was a beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. Tia had many siblings whose names are Refugio, Roy, Anna, David, Daniel, and Isabel, also she had a son Augie.
Tia was also a devoted Parishioner at St. Agnes Catholic Church.
After John finished his Navy career, they both spent time in Mexico City, where John was attending graduate school. Upon John’s graduation, they both moved to San Diego and purchased a house in Point Loma and there Tia became a home maker.
Tia and John were world travelers. Together they visited Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Central & South American and many other countries. Their travels together would bring them lasting memories.
