I was wondering lately what it was about my Aunt Lea that seemed so different to me as a child. It was that she was college educated! I was not exposed to anyone who had gone to college (other than her, I now realize) until I was an adult and gone from home. I may have been the niece/cousin who was around Lea most often, since I grew up in National City. She was also a mysterious figure to me. May she rest in peace and those left behind, may they also have peace.
Lea Ann, I remember your mom as a strong elegant woman mostly from when she visited us in Mexico. I enjoyed reading about the rest of her life. She was always kind of a mystery to me. I’m so sorry for your loss, may you be at peace. Love, Susan
