Eleftheria Horeftis' Obituary
Eleftheria Horeftis, beloved mother and cherished member of the San Diego community, passed away on November 17, 2025, at the age of 89.
Born in Greece on December 13, 1936, to Ioannis Tsirigotis and Sophia Vasiliadis, Eleftheria carried with her the traditions and values of her heritage throughout her life. She completed her education through the 12th grade and later worked as a dedicated seamstress for 15 years, a craft through which she expressed both skill and care.
Eleftheria was widowed and made San Diego her home for 67 years, where she built a life rooted in love, resilience, and faith. She was a devoted member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, finding strength and community in her faith.
Above all, Eleftheria loved her daughter, MaryElen, more than anything. Her devotion to family was the guiding light of her life, and her memory will forever be treasured by those who knew her.
Eleftheria’s legacy is one of love, perseverance, and faith. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
