Ella Karleen Dixon's Obituary
Ella Karleen Dixon, born on June 10, 1932, in Lamar, Oklahoma, passed away on November 23, 2024 at the age of 92. Ella lived in El Cajon with her husband Ralph until his passing in 2002. She was predeceased by her son Ralph Cole and is survived by her son Ron Dixon with Linda Rozar and son Kevin Dixon and daughter-in-law Peggy. She is also survived by her grandchildren Brian, Jason, Jarrett, Alec, Rachel and Nathan as well as great grandchildren Brylie and Aubree. She was the daughter of Harvey Numan Cole from Tennessee and Velma Faye Davis from Arkansas. Ella was married to Ralph Dixon in 1950 in Shawnee, Oklahoma and was married for 52 years.
Ella raised three sons and worked as a switchboard operator for 15 years. Her life was characterized by her love for her family and a deep appreciation for the many friendships she had developed over her lifetime.
Ella’s later years were characterized by her love for travel with friends or family. Ella loved playing bingo, going to musical theater, having lunch with friends, working jigsaw puzzles and her lifelong habit of doing the daily crossword puzzle. She was a very outgoing person who befriended everyone. Those who knew her, knew of her fondness for sweets with ice cream, Sees candy and Goo-Goos being at the top of the list
Ella will be fondly remembered by all and sorely missed by her family and friends.
