Celebrating the Life of Elmer Mallari Dizon February 1, 1952 – July 1, 2019 The family of Elmer Mallari Dizon expresses great appreciation to all relatives and friends for their continued loving support and prayers during this difficult time.Elmer Mallari Dizon was born on February 1, 1952 in Porac, Pampanga, Philippines. He was the fifth born among the eight children of Isidro Dizon and Rosalina Mallari Dizon.Elmer attended schools at Porac Elementary School, Saint Catherine Academy High School, Feati University, Noncommissioned Officer Academy, and Noncommissioned Officer Leadership School in the United States Air Force. After graduating from Basic Training in the United States Air Force, he began his career as an Aircraft Structural Maintenance Technician. He retired from the Air Force after serving twenty years and five months.Elmer lived in the Philippines, California, Guam, and New Mexico. He was married to Liwayway Aviado Dizon on November 1980. His special friends are Christopher Lapid, Lito Lapid, Fred Maciano, Jun Maciano, Bernie and Lisa Mangliman, Dentor, Boga, and many others. He was loved by many more people from his hometown Porac, Pampanga. Elmer had more than eighty god children. He will be missed by everyone.Elmer was a member of Saint Michael Church. His priority every Sunday was to attend mass with his family.Elmer served in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1992 in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm/Calm. He attained the rank of Master Sergeant and received the following medals and ribbons: Air Force Commendation Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award Ribbon with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with 6 Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Overseas Short Tour Ribbon with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Military Education Graduate Ribbon with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, and Air Force Training Ribbon.Elmer was a sweet, hardworking, devoted, fun, loving, kindhearted, thoughtful, amazing, and caring husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. He was a great friend, always ready to help anyone in need. Life became more meaningful, beautiful, and colorful when he got married and raised his three great sons. Any child could wished for a father like him. He was a pride and joy in our family.Elmer loved fishing, hunting, watching movies, traveling, eating at different restaurants, partying, his wife, children, family, and friends. His favorite songs were Endless Love and gospel songs.Elmer is survived by his wife, Liwayway Aviado Dizon; his three children, Archibald, Adrian, and Abraham; his two sisters, Fe Delfin and Helen Flake; his two brothers, Danilo Dizon and Gener Dizon; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nephews and nieces and their posterity. He will be truly missed. He will always be in our hearts forever and never be forgotten.
