Elouse Rosemé Thwreatt's Obituary
Our beloved, Elouse Rosemé Thwreatt, was called into heaven on the afternoon of August 23, 2025. Elouse passed away from cardiac arrest and complications following brain surgery in July 2025. She was in a coma in the hospital for about a month, and later passed while at a rehabilitation center where she was to begin her recovery.
Elouse, 48 and living in San Diego, CA, was born on October 25, 1976 in her home country, Haiti. She immigrated to the United States in 1995, along with her two younger brothers, to join the rest of her family (her mother, her father and oldest sister) in the pursuit of a better life. She was later joined by her youngest sister, who was born in San Diego.
Elouse, and her husband (Jacques Thwreatt), a U.S. Navy Veteran, have 4 children who have taught Elouse about resilience, perseverance, and the power of unconditional love. She was deeply committed to caring for her children. She encouraged them to pursue their dreams, supported them, and celebrated their accomplishments. She was looking forward to seeing her children continue to grow and make an impact in this world. For example, she was proudly waiting to see her oldest son (Brendan) join the U.S. Army this October, cheer on her oldest daughter (Destiny) grow in her career in New York, watch her youngest son (Q'shawn) pursue his career in acting, and celebrate her youngest daughter (Naomi)'s high school graduation and going to college.
Elouse never settled, always striving to do more. She worked various jobs and went back to school until she then landed a job at Kaiser. She worked there for almost 20 years, and eventually worked her way up to management; recently as a Senior Clinic Clerk in the Psychiatry Department.
Elouse always had a positive attitude no matter the circumstance. She had an unmatched thirst for life and her laugh was infectious. Elouse loved to exercise, and prided herself in always looking her best. She loved dancing to Haitian Kompa. She was a fantastic cook and made the best Haitian Legumes. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and wine tasting. She cherished the times when she went on vacation, like her recent trip to Greece with her husband. She loved celebrating holidays and birthdays with family and friends. Elouse was driven, strong, courageous, funny, outspoken, vulnerable, loving, compassionate, and a beautiful human being. She was never afraid to speak her mind.
Elouse's last days were unimaginable and unexpected. As her family, we are overcome with grief and our hearts are broken into a million pieces knowing that we will not see Elouse's beautiful smile and watch her dance like no one is watching. We are comforted knowing she will reunite with her Dad in Heaven, where they will both watch over our family, and give us the strength to move forward one day at a time. May her soul rest in peace and may she find serenity for eternity!
Elouse is survived by her husband, Jacques; children, Brendan Eliassaint, Destiny, Q'shawn, and Naomi Thwreatt; mother, Anne Marie Rosemé; sisters and spouses, Adelmise and Patrick Warner, Tanicha and Tyler Koke; brothers and spouses, Wesner and Julie Rosemé, Becheler and Lisa Rosemé; nephews and nieces, Nélianne, Makaius and Keowyn Warner, Amber, Nacia, La'niya, Jeezy, Chyanne, Janae and Janiece Rosemé, Janiya, Jayla, and Jayden Moore. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Rosemé, her grandparents, aunts and uncles.
Elouse will forever be in the hearts of her family and everyone who was blessed enough to know her.
