Elsie Evans Ravera's Obituary
May 27, 1920 - August 29, 2022
Elsie Evans Ravera was born May 27, 1920, to Lena and Herbert Evans in Ponca City, Oklahoma. It’s in the City of Ponca where Elsie would graduate with the Class of 1938, Ponca City High. Elsie would later move from Oklahoma to California, called to action during the War at Consolidated Aircraft Corp. After the War’s conclusion, Elsie decided to work for Davidson’s Furniture Company as a bookkeeper; there she met a salesman named Henry Ravera, who gave her the sales-pitch of a lifetime, and would become her lawfully wedded husband in August of 1949. Elsie remained in San Diego with her husband for the rest of her life, bringing forward spirit and joy in her loving service to her community, church, friends, and family. Elsie’s unrelenting selflessness is embodied in her 18 years of service in the San Diego Unified School District, where she worked in the cafeteria and as an area manager. Today, Elsie’s legacy is succeeded by two children, Sylvia and Eugene, one grandchild, Edward, as well as two great grandchildren, Sabrina and Trevor.
