Our sympathy goes out to the family and may God be with them. We will never forget Vera remembering the times we seen her when she was at the American Legion in National City in which we spoke with her for hours and shared a beer or two. Vera always spoke about National City and all the people she new and shared stories with us which made us remember the good old times and made us laugh. She never held anything back and always told it like it was. I knew her from around 1965 when I was a teenager through my brother Dickie who was the best of friends with Vera’s Sister, Linda. It is hard to see such a dear beloved friend and like family leave us. We were fortunate to see her during her illness and visit her numerous times to share our love and best wishes for her recovery. She will now be able to rest in peace and leave us with many memories. God Bless her and keep her in our hearts.
