Emma Christine Miner's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Emma
September 28th, 1926 - January 29th, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our dear mother Emma Christine Miner,
who left us peacefully in California on January 29, 2025 at 98 years old. Born September
28th, 1926, in Texas, to hard-working sharecropper parents, she lived a long and
remarkable life. She was pre-deceased by her caring and devoted husband, George Miner
and survived by her loving children: daughters Cheryl Lafreniere and Anita Sims, and son
Michael Miner.
Emma lived a life filled with kindness, creativity, and unwavering generosity, leaving a
legacy of love that will be cherished for generations. Her heart overflowed with love for her
extended family, consisting of three children and their spouses, seven grandchildren, and
eighteen great-grandchildren. She delighted in their company, celebrating their milestones
and showering them with affection. She instilled in them the importance of family bonds
and the power of unconditional love. Besides her family she enjoyed gardening, hunting for
and collecting Avon bottles, each one a treasured piece of nostalgia. Her dedication to
curating family photos and memorabilia ensured that precious memories would be
preserved for future generations, a tangible link to their heritage.
Emma's creativity and generous spirit touched the lives of those around her. Her
supportive nature was a source of strength for her family and friends.
Though she may be gone, the warmth of Emma's love and the light of her spirit will remain
in our hearts forever. We will miss her dearly
