Emma Quevedo's Obituary
Emma Quevedo, born on September 7, 1938, in Manila, Philippines, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024, surrounded by love. A devoted wife, Emma cherished 47 joyful years of marriage. She was a proud mother to two daughters, two sons, an adopted daughter, and an adopted son, and she poured her heart into caring for her family.
Emma and her husband shared a deep bond, enjoying breakfasts out, dinners together, and a mutual love for music. Their home was often filled with the melodies of Elvis Presley, Engelbert Humperdinck, and Lawrence Welk’s orchestra, to name a few....
Emma was a woman of many talents and passions. She played the piano beautifully, crocheted with skill and patience, loved shopping, and found joy in watching All My Children and Filipino shows and movies on TFC. Her journey began with a midwifery education in the Philippines, and she went on to work as a nurse’s aide for six years before transitioning to a career in housekeeping for over 20 years at Sharp Memorial. After years of dedication and leadership earned her the role of lead housekeeper, a position she held with pride before retirement in 1996.
After retiring, Emma found new purpose in caring for her granddaughters, whom she adored. Her warmth, dedication, and love for her family will remain a legacy cherished by all who knew her.
Emma’s family, friends, and loved ones will deeply miss her gentle spirit and steadfast love. May she rest in peace, reunited with those who have gone before her.
