Esther Alene Alexander's Obituary
Esther Alene Alexander was born on May 27, 1932 in Giddings, Texas. She was one of only two sisters, eleven months apart, born to Alethia Nunn and Theodore Nunn. Our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother Aunt, and affectionately known as “Mrs. A” to many family and friends passed away peacefully on November 17, 2019. She met and married Freddie Alexander and together celebrated 59 years of devoted love for each other. They were seen as example of “a whole lotta want to stay together.” Esther was baptized and accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. As a devoted Christian she always trusted God for guidance she frequently quoted Psalm 23 which was a favorite. She united with Integrity Christian Fellowship under the Leadership of Rev. Collis B. Hunt, Sr. and continued her study of Faith and Learning. Esther loved her Church and Church Family. She was a faithful member involved in many aspects of her church until her health prevented involvement. As an Ambassador for Christ, everywhere she travelled, she handed out invite cards to attend Integrity Christian Fellowship. The Bible was a Road Map for her to learn and understand God’s Purpose. She has successfully completed her final test and now can climb the Staircase to Heaven. With the encouragement of her only sister, Ruth Lorraine Goodwin, Esther followed their goal of teaching young children. She was employed by the San Diego Unified School District for over 40 years achieving her goal with an abundance of love for all her students. Esther taught young children in all areas of Early Childhood Development. She will be greatly remembered for her ability to be kind and friendly to everyone she met. Esther was very involved in her neighborhood of East San Diego (City Heights) and all community events providing a house for comfort and food to all who entered the door. She was a mother to many of her children’s friends as they grew up to adults and never forgot her caring love. Esther leaves to cherish her memories her sister Ruth Lorraine Goodwin, a loving husband, Freddie Alexander; 5 Children: Brenda Lesane(Myers), Yolanda Regina Dawson(Larry), LaMar Alexander, Joslyn Partee, and LaVel Alexander, all residing in California. One daughter, Juanda Hall-Espina preceded her in death. Esther had a SPECIAL place in her heart for her Seven grandchildren: Myron Lesane, Alvina Alexander, Alycia Williamson, Brandon Jamal Lesane, Janelle Alexander, Michael Joseph Partee, Jr. and Marcus Alexander; Nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Esther will be deeply missed by many family members and many friends who knew and loved her.
