Ethyl Evelyn Hahn -
San Diego, CA/St George, UT/Hamilton, MT. Ethyl Hahn passed away on Saturday morning June 13, 2020, in Hamilton MT.
Ethyl was born Ethyl Evelyn Kinkler on October 23, 1921 in San Diego, CA. Ethyl was the daughter of Milton and Daisy Kinkler. She was the youngest of four daughters.
On July 21, 1940 Ethyl married her husband Charles “Charlie” Hahn in Yuma, AZ. As Charlie explained, the two met and fell in love when he found Ethyl driving with loose lug nuts on her vehicle. The love these two expressed for one another was one to be admired. Without a doubt their reunion in heaven was a joyous occasion.
Ethyl and Charlie had 3 children; Charles “Chuck/Ken” Hahn Jr., Janet Conlin, and Marilyn Ericksen. She lived most of her life in the San Diego, CA area. Later in life she joined her family in St George, UT before living in Hamilton, MT with her son and daughter in-law.
Those that knew Ethyl knew her to be strong willed, devoted, and to have an unmatched memory. Ethyl loved her family beyond comparison. Ethyl and Charlie were both proud of their family. She was “Gma” to many and great “Gma” to many more.
Ethyl is preceded in death by her love, Charlie. As well as her parents and siblings. She is survived by her son, two daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gma, we love you!
Funeral services for Ethyl will be held on June 19, 2020 at Hughes Mortuary, 1037 East 700 South, St George, UT. 84790. Services will begin with a viewing at 2:00 P.M. and funeral at 3:00 P.M. Those who wish to send condolences or attend services are invited to do so. Ethyl’s
final resting place will be alongside Charlie at the Greenwood Mausoleum, 4300 Imperial Ave. San Diego, CA., 92113.
Entombment services will be reserved for family only.
