Eunice I. Ivester's Obituary
Eunice Imogene Ivester, best known by the nickname “Cookie”, passed away at the age of 76 in Bonita, California on January 4th, 2019. She was born September 8th, 1942 in Michigan to Herman and Helen Reckow. She learned to love animals from an early age with her grandfather, which continued throughout her life. She volunteered for Project Wildlife for many years. She rehabed owls, hawks, skunks, starlings, and other feathered friends to be released back into the wild once they were ready. Once, a police officer brought Cookie a baby deer whose mother was hit by a car. She raised it and released it back into the wild. Cookie was also a lifetime member of Hookbill Hobbyists where she was known for her talent of hand-feeding baby Hookbills of all kinds. She was also a great fan of Elvis!Cookie will be missed by all of her family and friends.
