My grandmother is and will always be one of the most important people in my life. I was blessed to be as close as I was with this lady. She helped me become a well mannered, independent, and caring woman. Life will not be the same without her but I plan to continue her legacy and make her proud from above. Memories- Precious memories will always be the center of my remembrance of my cousin Eunice. What a joy it was to talk to her for 2 or 3 hours. What an enjoyable event when we were together at reunions or talking on the phone.She often told me what I was like at 3 or 4 years old–75 years ago. She had the ability to select the most appropriate gift for any occasion. I treasure knowing her, and wearing all of my beautiful shirts . We will always remember our visit, where we went out for a wonderful lunch. The stories Eunice shared with us were quite entertaining. She also shared a lot of information regarding family history, that we knew nothing about. Our phone conversations were just as enjoyable. She was a very special cousin and will be truly missed. In remembering Eunice when we were children,my cousin loved to play a game called "Rock School"where Eunice was the leader.Eunice would not let us see while she would put rocks in one hand and none in the other.She put both hands out and if you touch the hand with rocks you would move up a grade,but if you touch the one with no rocks you would remain in the same grade.It was a great fun childhood game to us created by EUNICE. When I married Janice McCall, and I met the family, I was welcome and treated like a brother, from her brothers. When Mrs. McCall and I talked, I asked her "What would like for me to call you"?
