Eva Villalon Lomibao's Obituary
Eva V. Lomibao, age 91 of San Diego, California, passed away on May 14, 2026, in her
home in San Deigo, California.
Eva was born in the Philippines on July 23, 1934, to the late Joaquin Catalũna (stepfather) and Elena C. Catalũna. A savvy businesswoman, she dedicated her life to her small seamstress business, where her talent and hard work earned the admiration and loyalty of many customers.
Eva was known for her joyful spirit, generosity, and devotion to her faith, which she carried throughout her life and shared with her family and community. Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Ruperto C. Lomibao and her son, Eric V. Lomibao. She is survived by her son, Rumil V. Lomibao, daughter-in-law, Jacqueline K. Lomibao (Eric), grandson, Nicholas J. Lomibao, and granddaughter, Olivia M. Lomibao.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, July 15, 2026, in the Garden Chapel of Greenwood Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday July 16, 2026, at St. Rita’s Catholic Church 5124 Churchward Street, San Diego, CA 92114 with the committal to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 4470 Hilltop Drive, San Diego, CA 92102.
