Evelina “Evelyn” Lerma Martinez died peacefully in her long term facility Manor Care, on May 18, 2017 in Gig Harbor at the age of 82.Evelina is survived by her children, Rickey Hernandez of Whittier CA, Debra Parker of Cypress CA, Henry Hernandez of San Diego CA, Cindy Kay East of Cadiz Spain. She is preceded in death by her 12 grandchildren, Stephanie Loranty, Christian Hernandez, Nicholas Hernandez, Mathew Parker, Michael Parker, Andrew Parker, Miles Hernandez, Evelina Hernandez, Sammy Hernandez, Christian Boehs-East, Airian Boehs-East, Tristen East. Evelina had 3 great-grandchildren, Logan Loranty, Ian Loranty, Ryder Loranty.Evelina was born on December 17, 1934 in San Vicente, Mexico to Maria Ybarra & David A. Lerma. She grew up in San Diego, California but had been living in Washington state for the past 17 years. Evelina was an accomplished Artist and you could often see it through her various creative venues such as Floral Design, Landscaping, hand crafted items, and pastel drawings.A funeral is scheduled for Thursday, June 1st 2017 at Greenwood Memorial Park 4300 Imperial Ave San Diego, CA 92113, with a reception to follow at the Garden Chapel Courtyard. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Evelina’s life.
