Fanny Landers-Goldfarb's Obituary
Fanny Landers Goldfarb passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012 In Roswell, New Mexico. Born in Warsaw, Poland on November 15, 1912 to Lajzer and Perla (Czopor) Guzower, she was predeceased by beloved son, Louis Landers, dear husbands Paul Landers and Israel Goldfarb, and siblings Max (the late Rachel) Guzower and Sally (the late Jacob Kaiser). She is survived by son, Pierre (Audrey) Landers of Roswell, New Mexico and daughter-in-law Mandy Landers of San Diego, California; grandchildren, Pamela, Erica, Sabrina, Megan, Gabriel, and Joshua; great grandchildren, Michael, Briana, Alysha, Emma, Grace, and Rowan; one great-great grandson, John Michael, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Fanny was a Holocaust survivor who saved her sons by hiding them in a convent in Louvain, Belgium. She volunteered her time helping others though USOs, hospitals, and children’s homes. She lived in San Diego for many years and spent her last nine years in Roswell sharing her love with her new-found friends at the J.O.Y. Center. Her warmth lives on in all those whom she touched. Night has come, sleep well, the day is gone. Stars shine in the canopy of eternity. In lieu of flowers, a donations may be made to the Roswell J.O.Y. Center, 1822 N.
