Felicita Ortiz Codiamat's Obituary
Felicita Ortiz Codiamat, age 98 of San Diego, California, passed away on January 1, 2023. She was born January 15, 1924, in Puerto Rico, one of ten children to Juan Pedro Ortiz and Flora Sánchez. In 1945, Felicita was swept off her feet and married Hermenegildo Jandoc Codiamat. Together they raised a family of three children Rose Wright, Laura McHale and Henry Codiamat. She was a master of sewing, crocheting and loved to travel and attend any party especially with her Posada friends. She was Parliamentarian of the Navy Wives and embraced the Casa de Puerto Rico and Filipino-American clubs. Felicita was a loving, caring, humble woman who was adored by all. May she rest in eternal peace with her husband.
Felicita is survived by her sister Carmen Dominga, brother Alfonso Martinez, 3 children, 6 grandchildren,14 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She will be laid to rest on Saturday, January 14 at Greenwood Mortuary. Services will be held in the Salli Lynn Chapel. Visitation and viewing will be 2 hours prior from 9am to 11am. Services will be conducted at 11am with graveside burial immediately following.
