It is with sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Fernando Sr at Mercy Scripps Hospital in San Diego, California on Monday, April 13, 2020.
Born on May 30, 1923 and raised in San Miguel, Bulacan, Philippines, “Nanding”, as known to his family and friends, joins his spouse for 62 years, Eriberta; his first born son, Jose; his parents Lolo Melecio and Lola Choleng, his brothers Manuel, Gumersindo, Valentin, Eugenio and sister Leonora;. He will be dearly missed by his remaining children – Margarita (Erasto), Ramon, Elizabeth (Chris), Fernando Jr (Jesusa), Grace (Eacliffe) and Rey (Brenda). He will be lovingly remembered by his 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
We are grateful to the staff at Cloisters of the Valley Senior Assisted Living facility who looked after his care the last 2 and a half months.
A private chapel and committal Service will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to view the services via virtual live streaming at http://deguzman.memoryafilms.com/. The date/time information displayed on the website is the local time.
