Frances Castillo's Obituary
She was born on January 29, 1932, in Dawson, New Mexico to Petra and Maclovio Torres. She was the 4th of 9 children. Her family then moved to Colorado and finally settled in San Diego on Ocean View Boulevard. She attended San Diego High School and then went to Beauty College to become a hairdresser.
At 16 years old, her first husband ended up being an abusive man, which caused her to move to Juarez, Mexico to safely be protected by family. A year later, they divorced, and she returned to San Diego. She was married to Norman Rapue and at 8 months pregnant, Norman tragically died in a work accident. She was then married to Ramon Camarero for 19 years; they divorced. They had 6 children together and adopted one more. She then reconnected with her high school boyfriend, Jesus “Chuy” Castillo, and they were married for 5 years until his death.
She loved swing dancing, traveling, puzzles and crafts, painting, and reading books. She was resilient, confident, generous, a straight shooter and a faithful servant of God,
She is greatly loved and survived by her 8 children; Norman, Cristina, Anna, Elena, Ramon, Luis, Delia, and Patricia; 22 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
