Frances Marie Oliver's Obituary
Frances was born Frances Marie Posival in Buckholts, Texas on March 8th, 1925, the oldest of 9 children. She married Oscar Oliver in September of 1950 and had 2 children, Dennis & Thomas. Oscar, who was a 20-year veteran Army sergeant that fought and was wounded in France in WW2, moved the family to San Diego, Ca. in 1964 where they lived in the same house up until this year. Her husband Oscar died in 1992. Frances died peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours of July 9th, 2016.Even though Frances had a hard life, she always had a smile for everyone. She cared for her family and others, even making extra large meals on Sundays when she would invite the Navy guys who visited her church over for dinner. She had a great affinity for dogs and children, whom she loved to interact with. She enjoyed gardening, primarily vegetables, and she loved crafting everything from dolls to Christmas ornaments. She will be missed far more that she will know.
