Frances L. Wheeler's Obituary
Obituary for Mrs. Frances L. Wheeler Frances L. Wheeler was born on September 26, 1927 in Trigg County, Kentucky. Frances was the youngest of 8 children born to Elias and Betty Crump. Frances united in holy matrimony to Thomas Wheeler on June 26, 1956. (Thomas predeceased Frances in 1994.) Thomas and Frances were blessed with one child, Dorecea. Frances retired from Mercy Hospital in 1986.Frances leaves to mourn her passing, her beautiful daughter, Dorecea Moore, a loving sister (Mary Turner of Madison, Tennessee, and a brother, Frank Crump of Dayton Ohio), two lovely grandsons (her boys), Durran and Devyn Moore, a loving son in law, Donald Moore, Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who loved and will miss her dearly.Frances (aka mom, momma, Sista, Granny, Little Auntie, Aunt Tunnie, Fran, Ms. Wheeler) was very loving and caring, not only to her family and friends, but to everyone she met. She was funny, sweet, energetic, loved life and loved people. Her favorite things to do was listen to 92.5, watch television, entertain her visitors, talk on the phone, cook, drink her kool-aid, and her favorite word was SH.. (and you can fill in the missing letters to this word). And I can’t leave out her favorite candy, peppermint. She kept her candy dishes, throughout the house, full of peppermint candy. You could always find Frances shopping at Wrigley’s Supermarket, at the casino before her health started failing her, always being a busy body in the kitchen cooking, and/or washing dishes, or just busy in her home. She had tons of energy! She always said, ” I’m going to go and do as long as the Good Lord continues to give me strength.” Her kick back time was in her rocking chair, with her feet propped up on her footstool.Frances was a beautiful woman inside and out. Always had a beautiful smile for everyone—showing those beautiful dimples; and just an easy going woman. Frances would thank God everyday for ALL her blessings, for without Him nothing was possible in her life.Frances never complained. She could be having the worst pain on any given day, but when you would ask her how she is doing, before her health started failing her, she would say, ” I’m doing a hundred in the shade.” Once her health started declining, she would say, ” I’m hanging, Go For What You Know.”Frances holds her daughter, grandsons, sister, brother and son in law close to her heart.Funeral arrangements under the direction of Greenwood Memorial Park and Mortuary, San Diego, California 92113
