Gary Albert Bernardini's Obituary
Bernardini, Gary A. 02/05/1952 ~ 04/14/2015 SAN DIEGO — Gary A.Bernardini, age 63, passed away peacefully, April 14, after a brief illness. Gary was a 1970 graduate of Monte Vista High School in Spring Valley, CA. After high school, Gary attended Grossmont College and worked part- time as a plumber in his father, Bert’s business, Bernardini’s Plumbing. Gary was a skilled plumber and soon began full-time work at Bernardini’s Plumbing. When Bert Bernardini retired, Gary continued Bernardini’s Plumbing for several more years. The last 15 years of Gary’s life, up until the day he became ill, he worked full-time with GK Plumbing. Gary was a man of few words and simple needs. Gary was an extremely hard working man, who could be counted on by his employer, his co- workers, his friends and family if ever there was a need for a strong back and any kind of labor. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Albert Bernardini, Jr. (Bert) and brother, Ward L. Bernardini. Survived by his mother, Eileen Palmer Bernardini of La Mesa and son, David A. Bernardini (wife Monica) of Imperial Beach, CA and grandson, Jylian Bernardini and granddaughter, Ciara Bernardini of Imperial Beach, CA, step- grandson, Victor Gallegos, and great- granddaughter, Aryel Bernardini. Also survived by brother, Steve Bernardini (wife Bernadette) of New Brighton, MN and nephews, Nicholas and Adam Bernardini of New Brighton, MN. In lieu of flowers, family request memorials to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
