OBITUARY OF GARY WALKFortified with the Sacrament of the Sick, Gary Walk beloved husband of the late Porfeira of Lemon Grove, California, left this world on October 11, 2019 at the age of 74. Son of Paul Gerald Walk and Marian (nee Pearson) he was in the US Navy for 21 years, 1964 to 1986. He served on the following ships: USS Shields, USS Coral Sea, USS Cabildo, USS Yorktown, USS Princeton, USS Kitty Hawk, USS Constellation, USS Juno, USS Thomason, USS Sacramento, and the USS Alamo. He served in many capacties during those years but was especially proud of hitting a bullseye 1 mile away while on the Alamo and 2 miles away with the 3S50 calibur gun on the Cabildo. Gary was an avid Padre fan, watching all their games and collecting everything Padre he could find, he also loved to collect coins. His wife Perry and brothers Paul Joseph and Steven Joseph preceeded him in death. He is survived by his siblings Penelope Hartley, Jennifer Anne Walk , Charles Edward ,Teresa Minarcik, Christopher Gerald, Margaret Anne Walk and Mathew Walk.
