Gene Tecson's Obituary
Gene Tecson, 63, passed peacefully on March 12, 2019 around 3:00 PM, at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, California. During this time, he was surrounded by those he loved and those who loved him. His viewings will be held on March 21st and 22nd at 4:00 PM, and the funeral service on March 23rd at 10:00 AM at the Salli Lynn Chapel at Greenwood Memorial Park & Mortuary. Son to Adoracion Agaton and Alipio Tecson (deceased), Mr. Tecson was born on September 28th, 1955 in Nueva Ecija, Philippines. During his childhood years, he endured many hardships alongside his siblings, but he was raised to become a persevering, strong, and thoughtful man. On November 4th, 1987, Mr. Tecson, alongside his younger brother Alipio Tecson Jr., began his career in the United States Navy working tirelessly as a Disbursing Clerk for 20 years. He married Rowena De Peralta on May 3rd, 1989 and went on to raise three beautiful children. He is survived by his wife: Rowena and children: Ronagene, Eugene, and Clarissa. He is also survived by his brothers: Alejandro and Alipio Jr. and sisters: Avelina, Merlyn, Edna, and Loryna. Mr. Tecson was an extraordinary and admirable father as well as a committed and loving husband. He cared for his family passionately and always went the extra mile to make sure everyone he loved was supported. Following his retirement in 2007, Mr. Tecson continued to attend classes at a local college to further his own education. During his days off, he enjoyed gardening, watching mid-afternoon game shows, cooking various dishes, spending time with his family, and dog Louie. Mr. Tecson was a humble, hard-working soul who always put his family over everything. He had the warmest smile and the biggest heart. Though he was a more reserved man, his actions expressed his intense love for those around him. His hospitality and generosity will forever be missed by family and friends alike.
