George Eastwick Taggart's Obituary
George was born on September 1st, 1930 to George Sr. and Dorothy Taggart in Los Angeles, California. He passed away at age 87, just 18 days after his birthday in Chula Vista, California. After George graduated from high school, he went to Alaska to work on the railroad. He had work experience as an Insurance Agent, a Loan Officer, and also as a Postal Clerk. He spend about 20 years as a postal worker.George was a veteran for the U.S. Marines, serving 4 years during the Korean war from 1950 to 1954. He became a Sergeant and earned the following medals: Purple Heart, Korean Service, United Nations Service, and Good Conduct.George loved the Lord and was a member of the New Hope Community Church. He enjoyed hearing the music and hearing the gospel preached. George was a very kind and talkative man who always made friends everywhere he went. He will be missed by all who knew him.
