Glidden Marcus Cook's Obituary
Mr. Glidden M. Cook was born in Bagley Wisconsin on April 6, 1916 and died in Hemet, California on October 25, 2016. Mr. Cook was a long time Service Station operator in San Diego County. He started with Standard Stations in 1941 at Main and Magnolia in El Cajon. During WWII he manages a standard station at 8th and Highland in National City with 3 employees, 1 high school boy and 2 young women. From 1950-1970 he operated a Mobil station at Federal & Euclid in San Diego. His last station was a Texaco at 4th and Highland in National City. He retired in 1988 and moved to Hemet, California. He is survived by Donald Cook of Hemet, CA, his Grandchildren William and Donna and Great grandchildren Chris, Audry and Chloe.
