I met Gloria in San Diego when she was the Food Sample Hostess at Barons Food Market. The first time we chatted I knew she was from the East Coast! We became friends soon after that. We had many lovely visits on the balcony of her apartment, took walks together and talked almost every week up until a month before she died, even after I had moved to Ohio in 2020. I took the picture on her obituary when I visited her in November 2023. The added pictures are from that visit, also. She was a mentor of courage, faith and love of friends and family. Every conversation included her news of Joan, Beth, Charles, Dorothy & family, Michael, Robert and other family members and friends. It is true that she never regretted moving to Sunny San Diego from Northern New York!!! She was an excellent cook and a gracious human being. Her friendship is a gift that forever lives in my heart.
