Mrs. Gloria Leaverton's Obituary
Gloria Consuela Tavares Leaverton AKA (GoGo) passed away peacefully in her sleep and went home to Jesus on August 3rd, 2021, at age 96.
Gloria was born to Joaquin and Clara Tavares March 10th, 1925, in San Diego, California.
She was a graduate of San Diego High School. She Truly enjoyed her teenage and young adult years dating, dancing and spending time with her siblings
She met and married Ralph Leaverton her husband of 67 years! After meeting each other at Rohr Aircraft they married in 1954 and became a blended family of 6 children, 3 boys (John, Larry & Leon) and 3 girls (Donna, Barbara & Sharon) which some referred to as the “Brady Bunch”.
In addition to being a generous and loving mother she was the same generous and loving person to her many friends through the years. In 1954 onward she was introduced to rifles and learned to hunt and was an avid fisher as well as learning to swim. She was a great sports fan (all sports). She also had other past time activities that she loved such as bingo and bowling, she loved participating in them and spending time with good friends at the same time. She also loved traveling which she and Ralph did a whole lot, after the children were grown
Throughout her entire life she held an unwavering faith in God,
Gloria joins her parents, Joaquin and Clara and all her siblings, Barbara, Frank and John, and her son Leon and grandson Andre in Heaven.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph, and children John Eason (Verda) Donna Brock (David) Barbara Crestetto (Dan) Larry Stahl, Sharon McPherson (Steve), 8 Grandchildren: Tamie, Kim, Darcy, Adam, Larry Jr, Brandi, and Jeremy, 23 Great Grandchildren and 18 Great-Great Grandchildren, plus one more on the way, as well as nieces and their families, Fran, Cathy and Clara just to name a few of the many more nephews and nieces that she loved and adored, they all felt the same way about her as did the many friends she made through the years.
She will be missed by all who loved her forever
