Gregory Cunningham's Obituary
Gregory Cunningham was born April 21, 1960 in San Diego, CA to James H. Cunningham and Jimmie L. Cunningham. Greg attended Johnson Elementary, Gompers Middle School, Morse High School and San Diego State University. Greg accepted Christ at an early age and attended Community Missionary Baptist Church and Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Greg was blessed to be the father of Bryce, Gregory and Brenna. He loved to bar-b-que, spend time with his family and was a “Raider” fan. Greg was employed at Home Depot and Raytheon Technologies. Greg was a member of New Creation Church where he served in the Brotherhood, as a Security Guard, Men in Black Usher Board, attended several Bible Classes, and the Children’s Ministry. During his work with the children at New Creation they partnered with the Children’s Ministry in the Philippines and Greg started the Agape Mission Abroad Ministry in the Philippines and this was the start of his new passion to serve others. While in the Philippines Greg met and married Veronica Ulopani and they were blessed with two children, Yogi and Mica.
Greg was preceded in death by his father, James H. Cunningham and his brother, Robert Tambuzi.
Greg leaves to cherish his memory, wife Veronica Cunningham; mother Jimmie L. Cunningham; sons, Bryce (Kathleen), Gregory and Yogi Cunningham; daughters, Brenna and Mica Cunningham; brothers, Garry, James III, Keith, LeDante, David (Jennifer) and James IV Cunningham; sister, Joyce Cunningham; grandchildren, Austin, Mylah and Amina; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
