Guadalupe Valdez's Obituary
Guadalupe Valdez, aged 96, of San Diego, California
passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.
Guadalupe was born on December 7, 1927 in Tayoltita, Mexico. She was the
first of six siblings born to Pedro and Elena Bermudez.
Lupe made the journey to the U.S. in 1956, where she provided for her family
with a long career in domestic caregiving, residing in La Jolla, CA. A devout
Roman Catholic, she always cherished seeing her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren on visits and sharing in their experiences.
She is survived by her cherished daughters Laura and Maria, and her
grandchildren Korrina, Yesenia, Christian, Christopher, Andre, and Briana. She
was blessed to be great-grandmother to Aryanna, Rafael, Chyanne, Robert,
Nathan, James, Violet, Ea, Tulipán, Gwen and Lily. She will be missed dearly by
her surviving sister Maria Elena.
She is now reunited in Heaven with her mother and father, her two dear sons
Juan and Mike, her siblings Manuela, Virginia, Pedro, Jesus, and her beloved
granddaughter Laura.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 5pm-9pm, followed
by funeral services Friday, March 15 at 1pm, both at Greenwood Memorial Park,
4300 Imperial Ave, San Diego, CA in the Garden Chapel.
