Papa Simons was one of the most loving and genuine people I had ever met. He brought joy to all of those who had the pleasure of knowing him. No matter your role in his life, he was sure to let you know your worth! I considered him like a grandfather. Every memory I have with him was a happy adventure that was better because he was around. He treated me like any grandfather would and I appreciated that more than he will ever know. Although I'm glad his pain is over, the pain in all of our hearts is immense. He will be missed every day, not only by myself, but by all who had the pleasure of knowing such a wonderful man. I love you papa.

Pops, from the time I sat in the well swing that was in your front yard while Mimi baby sat me as I cried for my mom to get home until the last time I saw you as we talked and walked around your yard as you explained your plans for all the stuff you had ! Well I just want you to know that you've always been a father figure to me and you will always be missed and never forgotten !! RIP POPS! Love you! JR

I LOVE YOU PAPA!! I am so thankful for you in so many ways. Thank you for being there for ME!! I knew that all I had to do is call and you would be there in a heartbeat. We are all going to miss you so very much. Although we are hurting now, I smile as I type this because I know that your passion for family, camping, and of course cars lives through us all. All the wonderful things you taught us and all the amazing memories we all share with you, fill my heart with such happiness. We are so proud of how hard of a fight you fought over the last year. But now its time for you to rest in peace, build some cars, have a beer a watch over us. Trust me…we will make you proud!!
